Four Fun Things: Indoor Activities

Four Fun Things: Indoor Activities

The holidays are over and we’re all back to school and work… and oh yeah, we still have a lot more rainy, cold days until spring.

Thankfully, there’s a whole lot to do indoors in the Pacific Northwest (it’s almost like we live in the rain and cold for eight months out of the year!), and here’s four of our favorite activities to do indoors.

1. Traxx Indoor Raceway
4329 Chennault Beach Rd, Mukilteo, WA 98275

There’s nothing like a little healthy competition, and Traxx Indoor Raceway is a great way to scratch the competitive itch… with go-karts! Book online and take the family, your co-workers or a bunch of friends. You get to wear a helmet and race in karts that hit speeds of 30 to 35 miles-per-hour.

2. Altitude Trampoline Park
6610 64th St NE, Marysville, WA 98270

Another family-oriented indoor spot, Altitude Trampoline Park boasts a bunch of trampolines, dodge ball, an air bag jump, basketball slam dunk and a whole lot more. The trampoline park is a great way to get active without having to brave the elements.

3. Snohomish Aquatic Center
516 Maple Ave, Snohomish, WA 98290

Who doesn’t love to hit the pool? Snohomish Aquatic Center has a competition-length pool, a recreation pool and something called the FlowRider — a surfing simulator. I’m down for catching a wave in the middle of February. Check the link above for open swim times.

4. Another Castle
23303 WA-99 Ste. A, Edmonds, WA 98026

Sure you could play video games at home, but there’s something special about the arcade, especially Another Castle’s Edmonds location. Filled with games and pinball both new and old, it’s a great place to bask in nostalgia or show your kids how we used to play video games way back when. Being able to enjoy a beer and snacks while playing Street Fighter isn’t a bad thing, either!

Another Castle has a location in Marysville that also has a barcade/arcade as well.
