Four Fun Things: The Fall Experience

Four Fun Things: The Fall Experience

Fall is in full swing, which makes us think of warm beverages, trouncing through pumpkin patches and enjoying the bounty of the season. It’s a special time of the year, so here are some of our favorites for fall fun.

Drinking Seasonal Coffees

Autumn offerings for coffee have to be the best of the year (excluding an iced coffee on the first hot day of summer). From your PSL’s to much more curated menus, coffee shops around Snohomish County are serving up autumn treats as we type. Cafe Makario, SilverCup and Narrative Coffee in downtown Everett, as well as Wander Coffee Bar in Marysville and Spotted Cow Coffee Company in Mill Creek are some of our favorite fall coffee stops.

Pumpkin Picking in Snohomish County

It’s pumpkin season, and we love wandering fields of orange and white pumpkins to find that perfect one to carve on the kitchen table. Stocker Farms, Bob’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Farm and Craven Farm are just some of the places in the county we like to hunt for pumpkins (and get lost in corn mazes).

Eating as Much Pie as Possible

Nothing warms the soul (and your kitchen) like baking a pie… but it’s hard to find time to craft that perfect apple or pumpkin pie, so usually, we just buy one to take home. The Sisters Restaurant serves up some of the best pies in Everett, while Snohomish Pie Co. are holding things down in downtown Snohomish (and Mountlake Terrace). Looking for a slice? Totem Family Diner in Everett serves up some of the best in a classic atmosphere.

Enjoying A Glass of Wine (or a Seasonal Cocktail)

Seasonal beers are great and all, but nothing beats a glass of wine on a fall evening. Pop into downtown Everett’s Bean & Vine or the Port Gardner Bay Winery to enjoy a strong red on a cold night. Mixed drinks more your bag? Check out the seasonal offerings at Bluewater Organic Distilling on the Everett Waterfront.
