Spring Has Sprung: Our 4 Favorite Local Nurseries

Spring Has Sprung: Our 4 Favorite Local Nurseries

The sun is back and it is feeling a little like Spring outside! You’ve survived Snowmageddon but your garden is probably looking like it needs a little TLC. It’s time to sharpen your trowel and head to one of our nearby full service nurseries for some gardening inspiration and a few new plants, of course!

Here are a few of our favorite nurseries in the Everett/Snohomish County area to check out.

Sunnyside Nursery
3915 Sunnyside Blvd., Marysville, WA 98270; (425) 334-2002

It’s a lovely drive to Sunnyside Nursery along Sunnyside Boulevard with views of the lowlands. Sunnyside Nursery is a beautiful place to just browse or get serious with free classes and expert advice from staff including Steve Smith, The Whistling Gardener.

Flower World
9322 196th St SE, Snohomish, WA 98296; (360) 668-9575

It is a bit of a drive to Flower World in Snohomish, but so worth it. The place is huge so there’s lots to explore. It is a good place to take kids with wide open aisles, walking paths, geese and ducks. Stop at nearby Maltby Cafe for a bite to eat and grab fresh produce on your way home from Maltby Produce Market.

Snohomish Garden Center
11602 92nd St. SE, Snohomish, WA 98290; (360) 568-3840

Just off Hwy 2 in Snohomish, this family owned nursery offers a large covered shopping area for rainy day visits in addition to their large outdoor shrub and tree sections.  Since you don’t have to drive far, you probably have time to swing by downtown Snohomish for some lunch and shopping.

Garden Treasures Nursery & Organic Farm
3328 State Route 530 NE Arlington WA 98223; (360) 435-9272

You’ll need to take a drive north through some farmland and along the Stillaguamish River to get to Garden Treasures - that alone makes the trip worth it. Once you arrive, they’ve got everything to meet your landscaping needs plus a gift shop and farm store.
