Four Fun Things: Everett AquaSox
One of the best things about being in Everett is that we don’t have to go far to see professional sports. We love both the AquaSox and Silvertips, and since baseball season is full swing in Everett, we wanted to share some of our favorite things about AquaSox Baseball.
Unlike the big-league Mariners, AquaSox games are very affordable, even for premium seats. The Sox always have ticket specials for family packs and Tasty Thursdays for grabbing some beers at a game with your friends, so no matter who you’re going with to Funko Field, you can save a lot of cash while having a lot of fun.
Speaking of Funko Field…
The newly-crowned Funko Field at Everett Memorial Stadium isn’t just a new name on a classic stadium. Funko and the AquaSox have upgraded Everett Memorial in some flashy and not-so-flashy ways, including a giant Freddy Funko statue on the berm in right field, a new video board, a new hand-operated scoreboard above the press box and, of course, Funko Fridays, which allows fans to pick up extremely exclusive Funko Pop!s based on Sox mascot Webbly and Mariners Hall-of-Famers.
For some reason, baseball just feels better in Everett. The way you can get up-close and personal with the stars of tomorrow, the rattle of people walking up and down the metal grandstands and the Cascades at sunset on a warm summer night… the game feels more intimate and personal then it does under the big lights of T-Mobile Park.
The AquaSox know how to throw a party. From Star Wars nights to the AquaSox Brewfest, there’s always something going on at Funko Field for people of all ages. Take the kids and have them run around the bases. Stay after the game and see a fireworks show. You never know what you might see at an Everett AquaSox game.
