Four Fun Things: Late Summer Events

Four Fun Things: Late Summer Events

Summer is coming to an end. Soon there will be nobody on the roads, nobody on the beach. Do you feel it in the air? Summer’s out of reach.

Now that we have that Don Henley song stuck in your head, there’s still some summer days left before we dig in our closets to find our scarf collection, and we found some events to enjoy before we say goodbye to summer 2019.

Everett Beer Week

September 6-14

The breweries and beer bars of Everett unite to celebrate the Mill Town beer scene, with one-off beer week brews, a beer-centric bike tour of Everett breweries, an art showing and lots more. While in downtown Everett, enjoy vegan-friendly foods at Cafe Wylde or enjoy some Pan-Latin fare at Sol Food.

Schack-tober Fest

September 12-22

Walk through a glass pumpkin patch created by Schack artists (or make one yourself!) at this week-long event celebrating the fall arts in downtown Everett. Grab a pint (or choose from over 700 cans and bottles) at Toggle’s Bottle Shop or tuck into some Irish fare at The Irishmen.

Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival

September 6-8

Enjoy fireworks and live music at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park along with a fishing contest for the kids, the Reptile Man and more. Pop into Diamond Knot Brewing for a pint or enjoy Ivar’s at the ferry dock for some fish and chips while taking a break from the festivities.

The Edmonds Classic Car Show

September 8

Over 300 classic cars and motorcycles descend on downtown Edmonds for this annual car show. While taking in all things classic motoring, enjoy a finely-crafted cocktail at 190 Sunset or oysters on the half shell at Salt & Iron.
