Everett Real Estate Market Update: March 2020

Happy March!

Every month we like to take a look at how the Everett real estate market is trending.*  Let’s take a look at last month’s numbers, February 2020:

For comparison, let’s look at the previous month, January 2020:

From January 2020 to February 2020:

  • Prices rose by an average of $25,000/home.

  • Average days on market went from 26 to 20.

  • The number of homes sold went from 96 to 125.

All in all, the market has tightened up since last month. With average prices having the biggest change. Although, it seems the average market price has been ping-ponging between $400,000 to $430,000 range for a while now.

For broader perspective, let’s compare to this time last year, February 2019:

Comparing February 2019 to February 2020:

  • Prices went from $398,000 to $428,000.

  • Average days on market went from 40 to 20.

  • The number of homes sold went from 164 to 125.

With homes selling twice as fast this February as they did last year, and things tightening up again all around, it’s a great time to sell if you’re thinking about making a move.
