Everett Real Estate Market Update December 2021

Everett Real Estate Market Update December 2021

Every month we like to look at how the Everett real estate market is trending.* Let’s take a look at last month’s numbers, November 2021:

For comparison, let’s look at the previous month, October 2021:

From October 2021 to November 2021:

  • Prices decreased an average of $7,000 per home.

  • Average days on the market decreased from 14 to 11.

  • The number of homes sold decreased from 211 to 183.

Overall from October to November, the market didn’t change much. Prices and the number of homes sold softened slightly. But the homes that did sell, sold faster on average. Since home sales have a tendency to slow as we transition into the holiday season, the market does seem to be holding steady.

For a broader perspective, let’s compare to this time last year, November 2020:

Comparing November 2020 to November 2021:

  • Prices increased $93,000 per home on average.

  • Average days on market decreased from 13 to 11.

  • The number of homes sold decreased from 213 to 183.

Comparing year over year, prices changed the most; increasing nearly 19%! Though 14% fewer homes sold this November compared to last year, all in all, the Everett market seems to be pushing onward, full steam ahead.
