Four Fun Things: Picnic Spots

It’s starting to warm up a bit and we’re excited to get out of the house more. Why not grab a picnic blanket, pack dinner up or stop at your favorite take-out spot and head to a park for dinner al fresco? Here are some of our favorite places for a picnic.

Harborview Park
1621 W Mukilteo Blvd
Everett, WA 98203

Pick any spot in the sun or under the tall trees at Harborview Park and you’ll have an astounding view of the Salish Sea. The breeze off the water and up the bluff is amazing on those hot summer nights. There’s a large grassy area so bring a frisbee or lawn game for after-meal entertainment. Picnic tables are limited so bring a blanket just in case.

Legion Memorial Park
145 Alverson Blvd
Everett, WA 98201

You’ll find lots of picnic tables in the sun and shade as well as great spots to lay a blanket. After you eat there’s a great playground for the kids or check out the old trees and then take a walk to the nearby Evergreen Arboretum at the south end of the park.

Howarth Park
1127 Olympic Blvd
Everett, WA 98203

Head over the creek and up the stairs to go over the train tracks. There are no picnic tables on the beach so pack a blanket or sit on a log. Remember that the north part of the beach is also a dog park so keep your picnic on the south beach. After dinner, you’re in the perfect spot for some beachcombing or just lean back and enjoy the sea breeze. Pro tip: don’t leave any food unattended, or the birds might have a better picnic than you!

Lowell Riverfront Park
3505 Lowell-Snohomish River Rd
Everett, WA 98201

As you drive down the hill toward the park, give thanks for one of Everett’s most breathtaking and iconic views. Park the car and head north on the trail where you’ll find picnic tables and peaceful views of the Snohomish River.
