Al Fresco to Go
This is the time of year when we start thinking about all of the great outdoor dining options around Snohomish County. 2020's a little different, though; up until phase 2 of Washington's reopening plan began on June 5th, there was no seating at restaurants available at all. While each business is handling the phased reopening differently, you don't have to wait. Grab takeout or order delivery for an easy, casual outdoor meal at home. Here are some of our fresh-air favorites.
FRONT YARD FIESTA

Mazatlan's has been making the best of the quarantine, taking the time while the dining room is closed to remodel it and reupholster the furniture and continuing to kill it in the kitchen. They also took the time to set up delivery through five major apps, which was apparently worth it as they had their best Cinco de Mayo sales ever this year. Be sure to check out the entire menu which includes party platters for your front yard family feast.

Doesn't a big Greek salad sound perfect on a sunny day? How about an appetizer sampler or pork souvlaki? Kostas in Mukilteo has all your Greek favorites plus pizza, pasta, steak, and ribs. Don't forget the spumoni and tiramisu to share or save for later.

On a regular day, it's hard to get a seat at Stilly Diner because it's so popular. See why with some breakfast or lunch food to go, or make it a brunch with shareable mimosas. Be sure to check out the Quarantine Family Special: a giant cinnamon roll with ten Eggs, hash browns, and eight each of pancakes, bacon, and sausage links. Don't have everything you need for a picnic? Arlington Hardware is on the same block and has a great outdoor living department.

Everett's longtime hangout for geeks and gamers is still going strong with delivery and curbside pickup from their Apocolypse Menu. As a prominent purveyor of potions for adults, you'll find much of their menu is dedicated to creative mixed drinks and hearty dishes. Power up for some late-night LARPing in the back yard or gather around the firepit for Cards Against Humanity.
