Every month we like to look at how the Everett real estate market is trending.* Let’s take a look at last month’s numbers, May 2021:

From April 2021 to May 2021:
Prices increased an average of $61,000 per home!
Average days on the market stayed the same, 7.
The number of homes sold increased by 7.
Clearly, the biggest difference comparing month over month is average home prices. And no, that is not a misprint. Average prices skyrocketed another $61,000 in May. Setting a new ceiling for Everett home values. Wow!
For a broader perspective, let’s compare to this time last year, May 2020:
Comparing May 2020 to May 2021:
Prices increased $164,000 or 37%
Average days on market decreased by 4.
The number of homes sold increased 72%.
Comparing year over year, the market has exploded. A 37% increase in average home prices is unprecedented. More homes are selling. And they’re selling faster. We are surely in the midst of one of the strongest seller’s markets we have ever seen.
