Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Seasonal Delights: Summer Fun in the City is Back

Seasonal Delights: Summer Fun in the City is Back

Our future is looking bright because our calendar is filling up with summer fun. Music venues like Tony Vs Garage are booking live shows and Everett Music Initiative is gearing up again. Black Lab Gallery is moving into a new space and we’re looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us. Some of our most beloved summer activities are scheduled. Here’s what we’re looking forward to.

Jetty Island Days

One of the best parts of summer is hitting the sandy beaches of Jetty Island. The foot ferry was shut down last year so if you didn’t have your own boat you were out of luck. The ferry is back this year with runs starting July 5, but the schedule will look a little different this year. There will be fewer days of operation and hours will be shorter. You’ll need to make reservations online and it’ll cost you $3 per person, but we’ll take it. Anything to get back to our sandy oasis.

Fresh Paint

Schack Art Center is bringing back its fun art festival on the Port of Everett boardwalk on August 21 and 22. We’re looking forward to seeing the artists at work and supporting them by scoring some artwork to take home. The event looks to be the same as previous years, except there will be a $5 fee for parking and a free shuttle from downtown Everett.

Food Truck Festival and Beerfest

Everett Food Truck Festival is teaming up with Upper Left Beerfest to bring some great food, beer, cider and music to downtown Everett on August 27 and 28 for what will surely be an epic event.

Cruzin’ to Colby

It’s not summer without Cruzin’ to Colby and they’ll be rounding out the summer festivities with the big 3-day event on Labor Day Weekend. Admire the shiny, fast cars and dance to some music at Tony Vs Garage on Friday and Saturday. There will be vendors and a live entertainment stage all day on Labor Day.

What are you most looking forward to this summer? Let us know over on Facebook.
