Four Fun Things: Fun Family Activities

Four Fun Things: Fun Family Activities

How long has it been since you got out of the house for some family fun? It’s been such a long time since everything shut down during the pandemic, but places are reopening and we’ve got a few ideas about where you can go for fun family activities.

Flying Squirrel Everett
1325 SE Everett Mall Way Suite A
Everett, WA 98208
(425) 297-1950

Located in the old Toys R Us location on Everett Mall Way, Flying Squirrel is Everett’s newest family fun spot. While the local owners are working on transforming the old toy store to open in fall, they are set up in the parking lot with an all-ages inflatable and a separate one for little kids. There’s also a climbing wall, a mechanical squirrel ride (think mechanical bull) and a beer garden for adults.

The Outback Kangaroo Farm
10030 State Rte 530 NE
Arlington, WA 98223
(360) 403-7474

Kangaroos in Washington, you say? Yep, at a wildlife park about 30 minutes outside of Everett on a beautiful Highway 530. Farm tours are 40 minutes long and you will get an opportunity to feed and pet kangaroos and wallabies. There’s lots of other delightful animals to see including rabbits, llamas, peacocks and mini donkeys.

Snohomish Valley Golf Center
8511 Marsh Rd
Snohomish, WA 98296
(360) 568-2493

Get ready for some gorgeous views and challenging mini golf. You won’t find the usual rickety windmills and scary clown faces here. The 18 hole course is well designed and pleasing to the eyes with a stream winding through it. The holes are a bit challenging so you might need to bend the rules for the little ones and maybe fuel up at the adjacent restaurant beforehand.

WhirlyBall
23401 Hwy 99
Edmonds, WA 98026
(425) 672-3332

What do you get when you combine basketball, hockey, jai-alai and bumper cars? Whirlyball. It’s a fun team game with the goal of getting a Wiffle ball into the net using a Track Ball racquet. While driving a bumper car of course. You’ll need to leave the tots home for this one because kids need to be 4'6" or taller to participate..

Where do you like to take the kids for some family fun? Let us know over on Facebook
