Four Fun Things: Plan a Date Night
Did you forget what you used to do to get out of the house before the pandemic? Make a date with your friend or honey because we’ve got some ideas about what you should do.
Dinner and a Walk
Take a traditional date night approach and have dinner and then go for a walk afterward. One of our favorite spots is Lombardi’s on the waterfront. Enjoy a blow-your-mind-excellent meal and then either walk down to the south docks to burn off some of the calories. Or opt for a longer walk and head north to walk through the Waterfront Place area and Boxcar Park.
Another great option is dinner at Emory’s on Silver Lake followed by a walk north to Green Lantern Park before turning around. You can also plan a full loop around the lake if you’re up for a 3-mile walk.
Comedy Night
Who can’t use a good laugh right now? With businesses back open, there’s some regular comedy nights on the schedule. Everett Improv is at a new and improved location on Colby and they have shows most Friday and Saturday nights. Tony V’s is back with regular shows each week on Monday nights.
Everett Art Walk
For a cheap date night, plan ahead and schedule a date for Everett Art Walk on the third Thursday of the month. Enjoy the art at participating businesses and you can probably score free appetizers at some of the venues.
Board Games
Grab your favorite board game and head to The Loft Coffee Bar for a daytime date before they close at 3 p.m. They’ve got tasty coffees and nice-sized tables for spreading out. Independent Beer Bar is another good spot for spreading your Catan board out. Order a couple of beers and dumplings and enjoy.
