Seasonal Delights: Celebrating Pizza

We just learned that National Pizza Day was on February 9. We missed it, but that won’t stop us from exploring all the crisp, chewy and cheesy pizza options we have to pick from. Here’s just a few of the great pizza joints we recommend.

Seattle Reddit recently concluded that Seattle’s best New York-style pizza is actually not in Seattle, but in Snohomish County, at Brooklyn Bros. Lucky for us, there are multiple locations to get a big slice of New York-style-foldable-thin-crust-goodness that requires no utensils. 

Jimmy’s Pizza & Pasta

A NY-style pizza aficionado will argue with you about how pizza should be made, but don’t let that deter you from checking out Greek-style pizza from Jimmy’s in Stanwood. They make their pizza with proofed dough that gets baked in a pan resulting in a thicker, lighter crust. Yum. 

Christiano’s Pizza

You may not have even noticed it in a nondescript strip mall in Marysville, but those who’ve been tout Christianio’s for their great customer service and amazing brick oven bake pizzas. While you’re there, make sure to order a salad. Christiano’s won best salad in The Herald’s 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Cathouse serves up thin-crust, hand-tossed New York-style pizza. They’ve got you covered if you have issues with gluten, with a gluten-free crust. Cathouse is located on First Street in Snohomish so plan some time to check out all the chic shops.
