Seasonal Delights: Fun In The Sun
It's officially Summer, and we're ready for some great events to attend. Now, if only the warm, sunny weather would show up. Here's what's on our calendar for Summer 2022:
Fourth of July Festival
When: July 4, 2022
Where: Legion Memorial Park
FREE to attend
Park at Everett Community College and take the shuttle to Legion Park for a fun day of live music, food trucks and a beer garden. Imagine Children's Museum will be there with fun things for kids. In addition, there will be a fireworks display over Jetty Island that starts at 10.
Everett 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
When: July 9 - 10, 2022
Where: Downtown Everett
FREE to attend; players must register and pay a fee
Downtown streets will be shut down and converted to basketball courts for this never before seen event in Everett. There will be a slam dunk, 3-point and skills challenge contests. Food trucks will be headed to town too. The registration deadline to participate in the tournament is July 1.
Music in the Marina
When: every Thursday, July 14 - Aug 18, 2022, 5 to 9 p.m.
Where: Port Gardner Landing (bottom of Grand Avenue Bridge)
FREE to attend
Everett Music Initiative is hosting this favorite summertime event. The lineup is packed with talent like Lady A and The Dusty 45. Enjoy a pint at the beer garden, dine at the food trucks and browse the makers market. Learn more about the event from our friends at Live in Everett.
Everett Food Truck Festival and Upper Left Beer Fest
When: August 12 - 13, 2022
Where: Downtown Everett
FREE to attend, but you're going to want to buy something to eat
Come hungry because settling on just one food truck will be challenging. Plus, there'll be beer. Burn a few calories between meals with a visit to the makers' market. Upper Left Beer Fest kicks off the event opening on Friday afternoon, and the food trucks will converge downtown on Saturday morning.
Fresh Paint
When: August 20 - 21, 2022
Where: Downtown Everett
FREE to attend, but you'll probably want to buy something
Watch artists paint, blow glass or practice whatever their craft is. Fresh Paint is a fun opportunity to connect with artisans and learn more about their work. Their fine works will be on display and available for purchase.
Wheels on the Waterfront Car Show
When: August 27, 2022
Where: Boxcar Park
FREE to attend but plan for a Port of Everett parking fee if you drive, $35 to enter your car
Check out the classic cars, trucks and bikes at this annual Providence General Foundation Cancer Patient Assistance Fund fundraiser.
Wow, our calendar is packed, but we are looking forward to fun times this summer. Hopefully, it will warm up so we don’t need to be dressed in our PNW layers.
