Seasonal Delights: Celebrate National Pie Day

Seasonal Delights: Celebrate National Pie Day

Oh how we love pie! Fruit pie. Cream pie. Custard pie. We love all kinds of fillings tucked in a tender, flaky, golden-brown crust. Yum.

Did you know that January 23 is National Pie Day? We thought we’d round up a list of places to get pie and after we started calling around, we found that many favorite pie places only do seasonal pies and that some have simply scaled back their menu due to the pandemic.

But don’t worry, we’ve got a solid list of places to get pie to celebrate National Pie Day.

The Sisters Restaurant
2804 Grand Ave
Everett, WA 98201
(425) 252-0480

Slices and full pies and are ready for pick up every day at hometown favorite The Sisters Restaurant. They closed for a period earlier in the pandemic, but they’re back open and we couldn’t be happier. A few of their regular offerings are cherry, peach, pecan, strawberry, apple and marionberry.

Snohomish Pie Co.
915 1st Street
Snohomish, WA 98290
(360) 568-3589

Snohomish Pie Co. has full pies and slices. There’s some great apple options, cherry and chocolate pecan, among others. They’ve got amazing-looking cream pies available on a weekly schedule. It is recommended that you arrive around 10 a.m. to snag one because they sell out fast. If you miss out, don’t worry because they also offer delightful cookies and cinnamon rolls.

The New Mexicans
416 Hewitt Ave
Everett, WA 98201
(425) 512-9705

The New Mexicans’ baker, Michelle, is currently only making pies to sell by the slice. Seasonal pies are off the menu, but she’s got some great cream pies available. They are usually ready to sell by Thursday or Friday each week and are selling out by Sunday. Flavors change each week and Reese’s and coconut are the most popular.

Karl’s Bakery and Cafe
2814 Wetmore Ave
Everett, WA 98201
(425) 252-1774

Karl’s is not currently making pies on a regular basis, but if you call and order a cream pie, they may be able to have it ready for you the same day.

How are you planning to celebrate National Pie Day? We’re thinking of stretching it out the entire month and trying them all!
